We are a research group on theoretical condensed matter physics and nanoscience at the Department of Physics of the University of California, Berkeley and the Materials Sciences Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Steven G. Louie. Our main research interests are electronic and structural properties of crystals, surfaces, interfaces and clusters; quasiparticle and optical excitations; electron correlation effects in bulk and reduced-dimensional systems; graphene, carbon nanotubes, quasi-2D materials and related nanostructures; superconductivity; ab initio pseudopotential theory; topological insulators; electron transport through single molecules.
